CALL FOR MENTORS!
The Madwoman Collective is seeking marvelous mentors for our mentorship program designed to offer support to undergraduate students, emerging artists, and young professionals in the humanities and arts. Since our mentees are working towards accomplishing goals such as admittance to graduate school, securing jobs at non-profits and think tanks, showing their artwork in galleries, presenting at conferences, and publishing their work, we need mentors that can help these feminist dreams achieve their goals. Thus we encourage MA students, PhD candidates, published writers, established artists, and young professionals to apply.
Once selected, mentors will be paired with mentees to draw up a project proposal to be sponsored and published by the collective. Mentors will be required to meet virtually or in person with their mentees at least once a month to offer support and advice.
All applications require a personal statement, CV and/or resume, and at least one letter of recommendation. We ask that personal statements do not exceed two pages. If we think you could be a good fit, selected applicants will be asked to schedule an interview with two of our team members. The Madwoman Collective's Mentorship Program is a rolling application and all applicants will be seriously considered.
All applications can be sent to madwomancollective@gmail.com. We strongly encourage you to follow the application guidelines. Applicants that do not adhere to the guidelines are unlikely to move forward. We look forward to hearing from you!
